CPA MINUTE: The Tewksbury Experience


“Hello,  my name is Steven Sadwick and I am the Assistant Town Manager of Tewksbury. We passed the Community Preservation Act here and we have been very happy with the results.

CPA has allowed us to implement the major renovation of our town hall in 2014, a $6 million dollar renovation that we were able to bond without a debt exemption.

We also created 31 HUD 202 affordable senior housing units by combining $150,000 in CPA funds with our Affordable Housing Trust fund.

In addition we put $450,000 to preserving town records and $600,000 to a new athletic field.

The Community Preservation Act has accomplished exactly what it was supposed to do in Tewkbury. I hope that Burlington votes for CPA and is as happy with it as we are.”
